TALU

Know what you have.Use it before you lose it.

TALU remembers what is in your kitchen, shows what to use first, and helps you cook with what you already have.

Arabic and English. Built for households everywhere.

Three questions, answered every day

  • What do I have?

One shared kitchen list for the fridge, freezer and pantry — always current, always with you at the shop.

  • What should I use first?

TALU sorts your food by how soon it needs to be used, so nothing quietly turns into waste at the back of the shelf.

  • What can I cook now?

Meal ideas ranked by what is already in your kitchen — and by what needs rescuing tonight.

How TALU works

  1. 1

    Get your groceries in

Snap the receipt, scan a barcode, speak the items, or add them by hand. You always confirm before anything is saved.

  2. 2

    Your kitchen stays current

Cooking, using and finishing food updates the list, so what you see is what you actually have.

  3. 3

    Decide in seconds

Open TALU before you cook or shop: use first, cook now, running low — all in one calm screen.

Adding food should take seconds

Smart Capture reads receipts, barcodes and spoken lists and turns them into kitchen items. Every suggestion is reviewed by you before it is saved — TALU never invents food you do not have. If one method is unavailable, another always is.

One kitchen, shared by the household

Invite up to six people. Whoever shops, cooks or clears the fridge keeps the same list up to date — and only your household can see it.

Questions

What is TALU?
A smart kitchen inventory and decision assistant. It keeps track of the food your household has, tells you what to use first, and suggests meals you can cook with what is already at home.
How does TALU know what I have?
You tell it — in seconds. Photograph a receipt, scan a barcode, speak your shopping out loud, or add items by hand. You confirm every item before it enters your kitchen.
Does TALU track expiry dates?
Yes. TALU keeps printed use-by and best-before dates separate from dates you enter yourself and from its own freshness estimates, and it always tells you which one it is using.
Can my household share one kitchen?
Yes. A household owner can invite up to six members. Everyone sees and updates the same kitchen; no one outside the household can see it.
How much does TALU cost?
Nothing. Every TALU Kitchen feature is available free right now: create an account and you get your kitchen list, smart capture, the full recipe library and cooking. No card and no subscription. Fair-use and safety limits still apply so the service stays reliable, and if pricing ever changes we will tell you first.
What happens to my data?
It stays yours and stays private to your household. You can export or delete your kitchen and your account yourself at any time.
Is TALU available in Arabic?
Fully — Arabic and English are both first-class, including right-to-left layout, Arabic food names and local units.
How should I read estimated freshness?
As a helpful estimate, not a safety verdict. When a package has a printed date, always follow the package. TALU is deliberately conservative with meat, fish and dairy.

Freshness estimates, storage guidance and recipe information in TALU are for planning only. They do not replace package instructions, manufacturer guidance, or your own judgement about whether food is safe to eat.
